Love, Give, Pray

And Solomon loved the Lord, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? –

2 Kings 3:1-9

In this passage, Solomon goes through three stages: He loved God, He gave His offering, and He prayed the right prayer.

If you read on (see below), you’ll see that the Lord was pleased with Solomon’s request and He granted Him what He requested and more.

You, too, can wear Solomon’s crown. But, you’ll have to do what Solomon did.

Love – You have to love God FIRST, because if you don’t love first, you won’t give right. You’ll decide what you want to give.

Give – Give what the Holy Spirit instructs you to give – where He wants you to give it, the exact amount He tells you to give, to whomever He tells you to give it, and when He tells you to. This goes back to your love, because if you don’t love God, you won’t trust Him enough to do what He tells you to do. See, You can’t trust somebody you don’t love and you can’t love somebody you don’t trust.

Pray – Never ask God for more money – most of you have probably asked this several times with no manifestation. Solomon didn’t ask God for more money, He asked for wisdom and understanding. God gave Solomon riches and honor because of His prayer. Ecclesiastes 7:12 tells us that money is a defense and wisdom is a defense. Money can’t make the wisdom work; wisdom is what makes money work.

When you love God, good things will start to follow you. You won’t even need to ask for much because love for God will attract His favor to your life where everything you need (& more) will constantly flow to you!

Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. 13 And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days. 14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as thy father David did walk, then I will lengthen thy days. – 2 Kings 3:12-14

  1. Amen Apostle! I receive that I too, can wear Solomon’s crown. But, I have to do what Solomon did. I receive that I have to love God FIRST, because if I don’t love first, I won’t give right. I receive that I must give what the Holy Spirit instructs me to give – where He wants me to give it, the exact amount He tells me to give, to whomever He tells me to give it, and when He tells me to. Solomon asked for wisdom and understanding. God gave Solomon riches and honor because of His prayer. I receive that because I love God, I won’t even need to ask for much because love for God will attract His favor to my life where everything I need (& more) will constantly flow to me! Hallelujah! I receive it in Jesus’ name! Many blessings sir!
