The Right Desires

Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. – Mark 11:24

Today’s meditation is not about giving you a list of the right desires; it’s about letting you know that there is nothing wrong with desiring God’s best. There’s nothing wrong with having a desire to be completely out of debt. There’s nothing wrong with desiring your greatest dreams to come to pass. Did God give you a dream? Well then, you should desire that dream to be fulfilled.

You can’t let negative talk or people who don’t agree with the Word of God to pull you away from your desires.

1 John 5:14-15 says, And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Psalm 37:4 says, Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

God has nothing to work with if you don’t have any desires.

How long will you keep desiring only enough to get by? To just keep that sickness under control?

God, along with His Word, wants to build desires in you where He has something to work with. He wants to reveal Himself to show you just how much He really wants you to have. God wants to show you that He is Jehovah Jireh – that He is more than enough!
