The Right Counsel

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. – Psalm 1:1-3

The last words of this passage read, “…and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Why don’t we see more of this happening? Because if we want to walk in this kind of favor and blessing from the Lord, we’re going to have to what verse 1 says. We can’t receive ungodly counsel and at the same time try to walk in the godly counsel of God’s Word. If we keep company with those who oppose God’s Word or who won’t take a stand on it, their unbelief will have an effect on us.

Also, if we are keeping company with scorners or mockers, we will suffer the consequences when we look for the favor of God. We are prevented from taking hold of it because of wrong words we allowed to enter our ears and get into our heart and mind.

Make no mistake about it: The Wrong kind of company will corrupt you. It will keep you out of the realm of God’s favor and remove you from God’s systemic plan of blessing you.

  1. Today Apostle, I Purpose To Walk Only With Those Who Walk In the Godly Counsel of God’s Word. I will not permit those who oppose Godly counsel and God’s Word to be a part of my life. As their company would arguably keep me out of the Realm of God’s Favor and Remove Me from God’s Systematic Plan of Blessing Me.

  2. Amen Apostle Thompson! I receive that we can’t receive ungodly counsel and at the same time try to walk in the godly counsel of God’s Word. I receive that if we keep company with those who oppose God’s Word or who won’t take a stand on it, their unbelief will have an effect on us. I receive that if we want to walk in this kind of favor and blessing from the Lord, we’re going to have to what verse 1 says. I receive it in Jesus’ name! Many blessings sir! Amen!
